Tamhini.Located 65 km west of Pune, Tamhini is a hilly place near Mulshi Dam. The area is blessed with waterfalls, verdant valleys and lush evergreen forests. The forests are rich with birdlife including certain colorful birds and insects. Tamhini is easily accessible from Pirangut off Mulshi Dam. Pirangut is 26 km from Pune station. Its hard to believe that this snap was captured at around 5:30 in the evening. I have never seen such dense cloud and also its this color of teh cloud is quite rare. Things were hardly visible and Im glad I clicked one to remember this forever.

Heavy crowded Lonaval on 15th Aug. There were around 3 Lakhs people in Lonavla that day :)
Archers Seat -Mahabaleshwar. Queen of all points. Some compare the stractification of rocks on southern side to the world famous stratification of rocks of the Grand Canyon of Colarado. USA. It is facinating to see the barren deep valley Savitri on the left & shallow green valley on the right. It is more facinating to know that Archer's seat is the only place showing geographical distinction of kokan & Desh (Deccan), two territories of Mahabaleshwar, so clear & so near.
View of Khadakvasla dam from Sinhagad fort.
BhimaShankar.Bhimashankar is located in the Western Ghats mountain range in Pune district in Maharashtra, India. The nearest town and railway junction is Karjat. It is home to an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the twelve esteemed Jyotirlinga shrines and is associated with Shiva destroying the demon Tripurasura.
Arthur's Seat.Queen of all points. Some compare the stractification of rocks on southern side to the world famous stratification of rocks of the Grand Canyon of Colarado. USA. Relaxing and soothing boat ride in Mahabaleshwar. Its the famous Veena Lake which is gotta see only in my 4th trip to Mahabaleshwar. All the time I used to go to Mahabaleshwar during peak monsoon time and had just heard that there is a Lake "out there" which I used to believe coz I had no other choice :)
Hadsi-Pavna Road. Hadsi has a beautiful temple on the top of a mountain and its around 30 Kms from Pune. The drive from Hadsi to Pavna Dan is simple awesome and the road is primarily covered by waterfalls, dam and lush green mountains.
It was really difficult to capture this waterfall. It took me time but I managed to get a glimpe os it.

Parsi Point - Panchgani. The name Parsi Point is said to derive from the fact that in earlier days, this was a favourite spot of the Parsi Community. Like the Europeans the Parsis too had realized that great good could be derived from the salubrious climate of Panchgani for both the young & old of their Community. Parsi Point offers you one of the most breath-taking panorama of the Krishna Valley.
Niddle Point - Mahabaleshwar. This place is called Niddle's Point. Its near Kate's Point in Mahabaleshwar. If you love Horse Ride in the natural scenic beauty then this is teh place where you should be. The best part about this snap is that I clicked it while I was sitting on a Horse :)
